Craft Stamper Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I have been busy behind the scenes the last couple of days and wanted to share with you a project I have put together using embossing powders for the current Craft Stamper Challenge http://www.craftstamper.com/blog/using the embossing powder technique demonstrated by Birgit Koopsen on pages 30-31 of the July issue.

I used the Stampendous frantage distress embossing powders in Aged Aqua and Aged Ivory.  Firstly the whole heart was stamped with versamark and the aqua was placed in a few areas first, followed by the ivory in the remaining areas.

I used my ivy leaf mask (love this) and again pressed versamark through the mask.  I then scattered aged gold embossing powder over the area and heated it through........

......The close up on the left shows the flowers off a little better.  These were cut with The sissix Tattered flower garland decorative strip die then again they got the same treatment with the blue and aged ivory embossing powders, layering them up with alternate colours........

I used one of the Jo Firth Young stamp sets to stamp some sketched flowers onto the bottom and side of the heart in Black Stayzon.

The sentiment was stamped onto shrink plastic and shrunk down.
I used the Bird from one of my Indigo Blu stamps and coloured him in with pro-markers, he then was embossed over with a clear embossing powder to give him a similar finish to the rest of the heart.

Hope you like!

As always thank you for your visit
Hugs

  4. This is so lovely & delicate. Love the blue on the heart, and your black flower trim.Hummingbirds are always going to catch my eye. A lot of your technique description was 'over my head', but your efforts have created a wonderful piece, and the chain I can see, leads me to think it is a necklace. How marvelous to be able to wear something so beautiful that you've created yourself. Thanks for sharing, and describing yet another technique I need to check out!!! Stay cool. Hugs
