I hope you are all well, thank you so much for taking the time to drop by.
Today I am showcasing a project that I put together for the fabulous Tim Holtz inspired challenge blog A Vintage Journey. Unfortunately I missed the deadline but I thought I would show it anyway just to prove the effort was made.
The project done within a Tando Frame.
The frame is quite large 12" x 12" with an aperture of 10" x 10" so there was quite a big space to fill, there again there were a good few stamps to fill it. So I painted the frame black and stamped all my images onto some of Tim's papers, cut them down to the size I wanted and then glued them onto mount board to give them some depth.
I used my watercolour brush and distress paints to colour in the images, I also used a white pen and a fine archival pen here and there to add highlights.
Wording was added to the tiles using dictionary pages, Rub ons, tissue tape and chit chat stickers
Each tile was given a coat of glue and seal to make the enhance the colours, and when dry, I also went around the edges with a permenant marker pen and distress ink.
The background was made with a mix of distress paints and brayered stains, followed by distress ink with spritz and flick technique
Some of the tiles were given extra depth with 2 or 3 layers of black 3d tape
Tissue tape and metal corners were added to the Edges of the frame
And the project was finished
Hope you like it
