Chic Haberdashery Hand made by Mo x

Hello again everyone,

Firstly Hello! to Karen my new follower for joining me so pleased to have you on board.

Just popped on to show my entry for this months forever 21 challenge 7 over at Indigo Blu and this month it is Shabby Chic check it out   here  you have until the 20th to enter.  I was going to use beautiful Elizabeth Bennett stamp, and then I remembered a card I had done quite a while ago now that had a haberdashery theme.  I was very fortunate to win challenge 5 and one of the stamps I won was the 'In Stitches' A5 set so I put it to use.
In Stitches
I coloured the edges of the background with Stormy sky D.I and that set the colour scheme for the rest of the card.  The button card was stamped and dressed with real vintage buttons, and the cotton on the reels is embroidery silks.

I love the needle pack which is just stamped on white paper with Archival Cobalt. and coloured with old paper D.I. to blend it in with the rest of the elements.   It was then folded over on the edges to make it look like a genuine needle packet.

The tattered florals flower was also coloured with stormy sky and stamped with the dress pattern surrounding the lady on one of the stamps from the set with archival coffee.  The flower was backed with a little lace rosette.

The only stamping that is not Indigo Blu is the stitches and needle on the scalloped circle, this was from a woodware Christmas stamp set which I felt complemented the project.  The tape measure is a ribbon strip I had in my stash.  I die-cut the dress form from a bigz die and ran the dress through an embossing folder and inked it up to give a little bit of interest and of course lots of doily's  and lace, these  I think are a must for a shabby chic project.

Thank you for dropping by, please leave a comment I love to read them.  Bye Bye for now.
Hugs
Mo x
